Do you need your essay edited before the due date? Don't worry, I can help! All of my editing services are available to you--and you get a discount (scroll down for more info). Here's a quick run-down on how each service might relate to you and your classes:

Proofreading: This is a quick check for basic typos and errors. This is a good service if you're confident in your work, or if you have a final draft that needs to be proofed before you hand it in.

Copy Editing:  A more thorough version of proofreading.  I will check your grammar, punctuation, spelling, typos, and syntax; I will also eliminate obvious redundancy.  This is a good option if you want a major grammatical check of your piece, but don't want any rewriting or change to structure and organization.

Structure Editing: If you're not too concerned with technical edits, but you are worried about the organization of your piece, this is the service for you.  I'll make sure your piece flows logically and rationally, eliminate repetitiveness, and delete major typos.  This is a great service if you're in the early stages of an essay or project and have not yet reached the copy editing or proofreading stage.  This is also a good service for poets!

Style Editing: Trouble with MLA format? Not surprising! It can be tricky. If you choose this service, I'll check your piece for style consistency.  In other words, I'll make sure your citations and formatting are correct.

"Workshopping": This is the largest service I offer, and it's great if you need a complete overhaul on your work. I'll check everything: spelling, grammar, typos, structure, flow, style... and you'll receive a written review of your piece, separate from your edits, with advice for revisions and rewrites.

Typing and Transcription: Do you like to hand-write your work? Need it typed up before you can turn it in? I'll do it for you. Save time and energy for activities you'd rather be doing!

The Web Content Review service is also available to students (have a blog or the beginnings of a website?).  Please see my main services page for details.

I know what it's like. You're in school, money can be tight.  That's why Grammar Bites offers students a 10% discount on their total order.  Show us proof of your current student status (a valid email address ending in .edu is enough) and I will apply the discount when I total your invoice.

For complete rates, please see the rates page! I try my best to answer each rates-inquiry email within one business day!

FAQ: What are the differences between "hard" edits and "electronic" edits?
A:
"Hard" edits are basically standard editing. In other words, I get your piece and write all over it! Hard-copy edits are the stereotypical "red pen" edits. You will receive hard edits when you submit through the mail.

"Electronic" edits occur when (you guessed it) your piece is edited electronically. All electronic edits are done in Microsoft Word with "Track Changes."  Track Changes is a great feature: it lets you see exactly what I've changed--and you can either accept one edit at a time as you see fit, or you can accept all changes at once. Pretty nifty, right?

If you want, you can receive hard edits when you submit electronically--just let me know. I'll print your piece, write on it, and mail it back to you. Keep in mind that you will receive a printing fee for this option.
